What we collect, and what we don't.
Food Truck GPS is run by Broadview Technology Solutions LLC. This policy covers the Food Truck GPS mobile app and the foodtruckgps.app website. It is written in plain language on purpose.

What we collect
If you are looking for food trucks, we collect your device's location while you have the map open, and your email address if you join our waitlist or create an account.
If you own a food truck, we collect your name, your email address, your business and truck details, and your truck's location while you are signed in and broadcasting.
If you write a rating or review, we store what you wrote. Reviews are visible to other people using the app.
How we handle location
This is the most important part of the policy, so here it is in detail.
Customers. Your location is sent to our server so we can work out which trucks are within range of you. We use it for that calculation and then discard it. We do not keep a history of where you have been.
Truck owners. Your truck's location is stored while you are broadcasting, so customers can find you. Your last known coordinates are retained to keep the app working, and they stop updating when you sign out of the app.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for advertising or any other purpose beyond the services listed below that we need to operate. This applies to customers and truck owners alike.
We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this website.
Services we use
A few outside services handle specific jobs, and receive only what they need to do them:
- Mailchimp stores the email addresses and ZIP codes submitted through the waitlist form on this site, so we can tell you when the app launches in your area.
- PayPal processes food truck subscription payments. Payment details go directly to PayPal; we never see or store your card information.
- An email delivery service sends account and service emails, such as password resets.
Mailchimp and PayPal may set their own cookies when you use the waitlist form or a subscribe button. We do not set any of our own.
Deleting your data
Email info@foodtruckgps.app and ask us to delete your account. We handle these requests by hand and will confirm when it is done. You can also ask us what information we hold about you.
To leave the waitlist, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send you.
Keeping it secure
The website is served over HTTPS only. We limit what we collect in the first place, which is the most reliable protection we can offer you. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise.
Children
Food Truck GPS is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will email registered users.
